With last month's Lunar New Year Lion Dance performance and this month's Indian Dance, our students are being exposed to various cultures and we are able to appreciate their traditions and festivities. Many more performances have been scheduled and I look forward to sharing with you the different cultures your child is being exposed to!
On Tuesday, March 10th, our school had the pleasure of welcoming the Bollywood Dance Troupe to our school for a performance. Our pre-k students had a wonderful opportunity to experience Classical, Bhangra, and Bollywood dance by the Ajna Dance. They even had the chance to learn some moves and perform them themselves! With last month's Lunar New Year Lion Dance performance and this month's Indian Dance, our students are being exposed to various cultures and we are able to appreciate their traditions and festivities. Many more performances have been scheduled and I look forward to sharing with you the different cultures your child is being exposed to! The group kicked off the show with a great dance performance. The crowd was really into it. Afterwards, one of the dancers gave us a presentation about the different types of Indian dances; Classical, Bhangra, and Bollywood. They showed the different movements and explained the importance of facial features and telling a story with your movements. Our kids were did a really great job watching their demonstration, learning the moves, and putting them into action!
